Ever bothered to read those "terms and conditions" for any Software? Export controls laws affect anyone using software developed in the states. They may not actually prosecute you (unless you live there), but they can (and do) blacklist you (or your company), which makes it illegal for any american individual or business to do business with you, and for you to enter an american territory. Technically, they could do this if you took / loaded MS Excel onto a computer in (for example) iraq, as MS Excel has encryption technology embedded.

But we were talking about these forums, yes, not about Micro$oft Excel? In fact, by reading my post you may be agreeing to a legally binding contact saying you'll only eat carrots on Tuesdays. I'm sure I can find some British law somewhere that states that

Basically, all I'm saying is that if the Internet isn't governed by US law alone. Otherwise, those "interesting" Dutch websites that seem to infiltrate every web search wouldn't be allowed to operate :vomit:

Yeah, we're off topic and loving it :)

In point of fact, one portion of the Anti-Terrorism bill, working its way through Congress, states that the US can prosecute for anything illegal going through American servers. So, if someone in Sweden sends an email to their friend just down the block, and the email goes through American servers (which do the majority of the routing, so I've heard), and the email had violated some American law, then the US could prosecute them.

Equally, US citizens would be subject to the relevant laws of other countries, hence my earlier statement: "...the Internet isn't governed by US law alone."

in some cases. But if you commit a crime and it takes place on us soil or for instance a us website then yes you will be held responsible,Thats why the Us and Britan and Germany often Arrest people in other countries for pairateing software or illeagal Kiddie pron sites.and fraud. But in gerneral you are only bound by the Internet laws of your own country. Its just that for some things most countries have agreemenst to honor each others Internet laws.

If you add FOREIGN workers to one of your own cities, your adding FOREIGNERS to your city, not your own population... therefor, say you're at war with France and have captured French workers, you add those workers to one of your own cities, your making your own city MORE FRENCH, and it may revolt or not like you much!

Not a very good solution!

LoL good point, but from what I am reading it seems a few here just want to "kill" the workers. I add the workers, but by the time I do my city already has 10 in it so one wont really hurt.

Easy, Witchfinder.

Words like those could get you branded as a terrorist sympathizer here in the USA these days....

It don't matter what city they're in or what race they're from, they'd probably be subject to US law anyway.
