Civilization Mods

I've recently started playing this game again and decided to update the mods which can be updated, unfortunately I found that none of these new mods work, however all the mods which I did not update do work. I attempted to download a completely new mod and this did not work either.
I have the latest Civilization patch and I am running Windows Vista.
If anyone could shed some light on this, that would be wonderful.

are you running the game with admin rights?
is this just civilization 4 or one of the expansions?

The mods I've specifically downloaded are Rhye's and Fall of Civilization, Fictionalization, Sanguo Mod, Rise of Mankind and MOO2.
I am running the game with admin rights and I have the 'Beyond the Sword' expansion.

just checking: Beyond the Sword is patched to 3.19?
what exactly happens when you try to load these mods?
does the game work fine without the mods?

Apparently I did not have the latest version of Beyond the Sword, I updated to the latest version but only the mods altered in the update seem to work as well as the mods I downloaded before I had the problem.
When I try to run the mods a small window pops up saying that Windows has found an error with Civilization and is now looking for solutions.
The game works perfectly fine without the mods.
Thanks for your help so far, at least some of my mods work now.

Oh, if it helps, the version I had before updating was 3.17

which mods are not working? are you sure they are for 3.19?
