I have an MChem (Master of Chemistry) in Medicinal Chemistry. Does that mean I'm an actual master of chemistry? Hell no! But I know how to make every drug out there! (and that mainly means the legal ones Mr Moderator)
I've only taken a little college, I'm currently enlisted with the Marines so it has tooken a back seat until I get out. I do want to study for a BA in Asian Studies and probably a minor in education or computer science.
i am a chilean tourism student, i speak spanish and english, i love history, culture and arts in general, at least in Chile i am considered a smart guy.
from all the time i've played this awesome game (since civ1) i've seen a lot of smart and interesting people (specially in the mac community ), and i think YES, Civ players are FAR SMARTER than those FPS's or MMORGP players.
B.S. in Industrial Engineering currently working toward an MBA. My parents made me to go into the engineering field. If it was up to myself, I would of taken History major.
Master of Science in Computer Science, Major in System Analys.
To bad for the world that soon we will be using a lot of our smarts on a computer game when we could invent something or maybe change the “real” world... But I guess that’s what we do in CIV.
The real world is all relative. The Civ world we create is actually real for all the electrons that live in it.
And maybe our "Real" world is a computer game for somebody else just a very advanced CIV game.
I'm just finishing a PhD in English literature in the UK and have been playing since Civ 1 (aka 'The Year My Brother, Sister and I Destroyed Christmas By Playing Civ for the Entire Holiday').
Currently finishing my M. Sc. in political science, international relations.
What got me into this program was probably the fact that I enjoyed Civ so much, at least the political aspect of it (let's face it, the economy isn't that well represented...). I've been playing Civ since Civ1, the good old days on my 386 sx25mhz!
...Well it does look like Civ players are more educated then the average US citizen if nothing else...I think only 20% of people in the US have any kind of college degree. I don’t know the levels of education outside of the US, so if anyone would like to add them… Anyway, it seems that every other person posting in this tread has a masters or PhD.
For the college professors out there, how do you like it, your job I mean?
It was always something I thought about doing...

Ahh that's too bad, the History major is a good one. I'm lucky my parents supported me in that major, though I have to say I would have taken whatever I wanted whether they liked it or not.
I have a B.A. in History, and I plan to eventually go to grad school for library science or archiving or museum curating or maybe something else. We'll see someday.
I'm finishing my college education as a high school history teacher at the moment.. When I finish (about another year) I'll have a Bachelor's degree in History..
