Now I'm hoping Geoff Knorr returned to help compose the soundtrack. I messaged him on his website today, but he might not reply back until after release.
For those unaware, Knorr helped composed the Civ themes in Civ5 with Michael Curran and a few others. And worked on the Civ6 themes with Roland Rizzo and several others. He has a background in Anthropology of Music, which is helpful in composing themes for the various cultures in the games.
I TBH would not mind if someone else did the soundtrack either.
All of the soundtracks were pretty good (nothing is perfect, yes...), and I am sure Firaxis would again pick someone great.
And I mostly say this that Christopher Tin will always be remembered for Baba Yetu and will just not be able to beat himself .
For a minute there I thought you meant that he'd shared the actual song, and it was named, "Again". Sounded plausible, I know I'll be playing Civilization "Again".
But he's just confirming what Ed Beach mentioned on Tuesday, right? I'm not missing a "play the song" button?
Now I'm hoping that Firaxis can create a main menu graphic that complements the new song as well as the main menu graphic in IV complemented Baba Yetu. Sogno di Volare would fit in on the Calling All Dawns album, but it doesn't have the visual complement that Baba Yetu has in IV.
