Hacks??? As in "No-CD hack" or what are you talking about??

I really hope that you aren't talking about cheats for the game, since there already is a cheat menu in the game and you can't possiblily need more than that one has to offer........

I found a No-CD hack from www.gamecopyworld.com a couple years ago, plus hambo used to have one but they he seems to be gone now. I just don't like having to put the CD in every time. BTW, this is not warez... you have to have the original installed game to make teh NO-CD patch work. It just eliminates the CD-calls to your CD ROM, which means no movies, throne room, advisors, etc. But I don't use that Multimedia stuff anyway, and normally have my CD ROMs disconnected from my machine.

Though I have not fiddled with it in a very long time, I think the scenario part of the cheat menu (next to the cheat menu) can do even more than Cheat Mode, but will make a "SCENARIO" note in your score (yellow as I recall). The Civ guide by Prima also tells some info about what it can do.

you get a throne room without the cd, but it is so annoying i turn it off.
