I hope the next patch allows us to increase the amount of civs on every map size. I play on the immortal level and I find it way too easy to build large amounts of settlements without ever going to war. I think one or two more civs would make it to where I wouldn't need to build as many cities. It would hopefully also create more conflict and need for wars.

Agreed, and also for trade. In my last antiquity I warred my close neighbor of course, which left me unable to trade. I picked every trade route bonus I could until I could finally trade with the civs on the other side of my continent.

By the end of the age my continent was roughly half colonized. In exploration I learned that the other continent was half colonized, although a third of the way through the age those civs started grabbing land like crazy, possibly triggered by me settling three times in the middle of the continent.

I'd love to have one or two more civs on standard size map.

Prior to update 1.2.5 i liked playing with just 5 AI players as it gave me room to expand, but after playing on a large Continents and Islands map i don't have nearly enough civs to trade with, my next game on this map i'll try having 8 or 9.

It's also much harder on this map to gain treasure resources with several leaders starting on distant lands.

I like a lot about the last update, but it does seem like they screwed up with the treasure resources. I've played 3 games of pangea with islands on small since the update and treasure resources are showing up in my normal cities and when I hover over them they say they can't used because they are not in distant lands.

Isn't that intentional? It's meaningless on Pangaea I guess.

The islands that are unreachable before deep sea travel are still with treasures and considered distant. I, however, don't recall ever seeing treasures on the mainland before the last patch. Is that a bug or have there always been unusable treasures in the homeland and I just wasn't paying attention?

There were after the update that made the Distant Land / Homeland symmetrical. (ie Distant Land real players, etc.). I thought the treasure resources still gave thier yields, just no convoys/points.
