Clearing Cache makes the game crash

So my problem is quite simple: clearing my cache makes my game crash the first time I enter the mod selection screen. When I enter it the second time, Whatever mods I've downloaded through steam appear as if I manually downloaded them, which means I can no longer update them automatically*. Since my mod list contains about 50+ mods I downloaded through steam, That's a major problem for me.

*my computer tries to resubscribe, but since it tries to download so many mods at once, the game always crashes at some point...

Oh, in case this wasn't clear, I have to do so because certain mods (well, the CP, which interacts with about anything) require it...

So does anyone have a fix/ solution? and does that only happen to me?

Maybe try deleting all of the cache except Civ5ModsDatabase.db?
