Closed Threads Now Mod-Only?

Something odd happened today. I saw in OT the thread with the title, "I Always Knew My Principal Was Evil..." and I saw that it was closed, but I clicked anyway to see what the fuss was about. I couldn't get in. It gave me the same message that I get when I'm banned and try to post or when I accidentally try to edit someone else's post.

That means that it is mod-access only. So are closed threads now mod-only? I'm not complaining, just wondering...

No, it just means the thread got moved to a secret hidden forum. We called this hidden forum 'Recycle Bin" btw.

But when you move a thread over to the hidden forum, it dissapears from the one it was in (because you "deleted" it), right? Or you could have moved it, but then it'd have the move arrow thingie instead of the closed lock thingie, right? So what happened, did cgannon click it just as it was "deleted"/moved, or did you somehow copy-and-paste the thread over to the hidden forum, or what?

It's also otherwise known as the CFC sacrificial altar, when the mods burn threads (or sometimes posters) in supplication to the Great Lord TF.

Only if you enter or refresh its prior page after the move. If your page version of Off Topic in dowloaded before the move, the thread title will still be there, but you will not be able to click through.
