Closest game I ever lost!

I recently had the closest loss ever in an epic game. I was loosing but figured out that on the last turn of the game I would pull ahead by 12 points and win! Then… on the second to last turn the Aztecs won by building the last part of their spaceship. Ugh!!!! It would have been my first monarch victory.

I was wondering if there would be any way to prevent them from finishing their ship? I was way behind in techs. Could not even start my own ship. I could not find the city in which they were building that last part.

Also… anyone have a similar story (close to victory, then having it snatched away at the last possible second)?

If you can take their capital it scuttles their spaceship and they have to start over. It would take some planning...

I have a suggestion: try going to the F7 screen. See if it will tell you where that last space ship part is. Then try to capture it. I'm not sure if this will work; but it is worth a try.

You could also try nuking it. If you've got an ICBM handy.

Did not have espionage Tech yet. As I said... behind in techs (way behind). And I could not find the city the part was being produced in.
