You know, it'd probably hurt you willem, but in the game, Leonardo (1, you know him, that whiner) is actually good. With the Feyenoord team I'm playing (surprise! first game ever...) he gets rated 9's and 10's all the time... But only as AML...

well, that's funny But it happens. I used to have a game where Pascal Heije and Mofokeng are very good defenders. That's how bad the game sometimes is...

still don't get why it should hurt though?

Wow, did I kill this whole thread?
I just made Feyenoord champion, 4 games to go, 11 point lead on ajax.
Also just beaten juventus with 4-2 in the semifinals of the CL, that'll be a tough away game. Especially with leonardo suspended.
Any tips for getting your players motivated?

Praise them if they look like they are lagging in moral

hmmm, doesn't always work. Sometimes players don't know what to do with the praises and start playing worse....it's something to find out.

yea you click on action then release media story to praise or cirtisie player performances

Ah I had not found that option... I doubt I will bother though. Usually I will take the positive approach on news stories as in previous CM games, criticising a player could sometimes leave them unhappy for seasons. Even when you praised them at the next opportunity.

Is that a new option with the new patch (which I didn't download yet since it's way too huge for a 56k modem...), or am I just blind? I can't find it!

On the bright side (bright, as opposed to my players having a very poor motivation...), I won the CL, cup and championship with Feyenoord in my first season (no patch, that'd explain it...)

Nice work! I managed to do the same with Man United but ever since then we have gradually won less and less.

You can do it pretty early in the season too. Doesn't make sense to say something like that after 8 games in the league, but it is possible.

Inter, this is no freeware, it's a game that you can buy in the store! I believe there are some free demo's, check out the official site (cm4.com or something like that)

Update on the me being blind thing: on The Dug Out boards I found that the mentioned option is available with EP2.

Hmmm, no, afaik all previous upgrades are contained in the latest EP. btw, come to think of it, maybe I meant EP 1 instead of 2...

Updated my career screenshot.

I had stopped playing cause of the manager reputation bug (it's always 80) so I didn't find a new team (and I didn't want to keep managing Livorno)
I waited EP4, which came out yesterday night but didn't solve the problem. Yes, it solves the bug, but my reputation was still 80 as past victories can't be counted.
So I decided to use a savegame editor and raise my ability.
I'm sure I had a good reason to that. (and in fact I signed for Roma)

Ah so that might explain why I've never recieved any job offers and that whenever I am not quite top of the premiership, the job becomes quite unsafe. Thats a bit of a disappointment reallly but at least the patch fixes it for the future. Also where did you find the saved game editor?
