Hi there! I've been working for quite some time with the idea of revamping the Tech and the Civic trees, adding the Enlightenment Era and a total of 12 techs/civics per era. So far I've got them both almost finished on paper but I have two major problems:

1st. I love history, this franchise and I think I'm an average 2d artist but I have no codding skills at all, so, in order to finish this project I will need your fantastics abilities, programmers out there.

2nd. Some of the civics in the last two eras don't seem to really work to me. Here I give you the Atomic and the Information Era completed list of civics:

Atomic Era: INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES, COLD WAR, CULTURAL HERITAGE, SPACE RACE, HUMAN RIGHTS, CONSUMERISM, DECOLONIZATION AND NEOCOLONIALISM, PEACE AND LOVE MOVEMENT, HUMANITARIE AID, ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN, ECONOMIC INTERDEPENDENCE, VIDEOGAMES.

Information Era: GLOBALIZATION, SOCIAL MEDIA, MASS MIGRATION, CYBERPIRACY, MEMECULTURE, CROWFOUNDING, POLICULTURAL SOCIETY, MAKE IT YOURSELF MOVEMENT, BANKING REGULATION, SECURITY STATE, CIRCULAR ECONOMY, SPACE COLONIZATION, MEGACORPARATIONS, DIGITAL WORLD.

The Idea is to have 12 civics per era (I know I have posted 14 in the Information Era) that have something new to add to the game; for example policies. The information era is our current era so what I am doing with the civics in it is a imagination exercise, but based in the current development of our world.

If you guys would like to see a new tech and civic trees, more realistic and accurate but still fun to play please contact me or leave a comment with your ideas. Any good contribution will be credited. Many many thanks if you are still reading, and many thanks more if you have already begun to think how to code this or what social achivements will the human race accomplish in the years to come!!!

Right now all development involving TEaR is stopped. Due to my lack of programming experience and also the lack of interest in the modder community, I finally gave up and started to work in something a little less ambitious that I hope to show you, all Civfanatics, very soon. Also GS appeared with the promise of a new era, and much more content so I decided to put it on hold, until I get the skills and time necessary to this endevour.

In any case, one of the mayor keys for TEaR to doesn't feel empty, was the incorporation of RwF of JFD. I think it was one of the firsts mods out there and it has been in my loading list since then.

But of course there would be policies of my own (ENSLAVEMENT: Every Unit defeated can be turned into an Slave Unit (1 charge Builder) or SACK: When you Raze a City, the half of its population is turned into Slave Units, one per population point ( I think this one is difficult to acomplish with just xml/sql modding)). And also new Units (Line Infantry and Dragoons among others) and buildings (the addition, for example, of tier 1 industrial zone buildings each of them giving bunuses to mines, lumbermills or quarries).

And I would really like to implement some of your ideas described in here: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/civ-6-massive-overhaul-help-wanted.612405/ . In fact, your luxury resource system is really reaaaally interesting, although quite difficult to implement too.

However, and under my personal perspective, the first step and the one that has more raw work is the creation of both trees and the new distribution of the game's entire content. The trees are the back bone of the mod and yes, the content is indispensable, but the trees are the core of what I was trying to acomplish: a slower and more rich pacing, with more time to develop your cities and armies.

I really appreciate your interest and I would like to talk to you if you want more information or if you want ta make some suggestions. But like I said earlier, my knowledge of the program is still not enough to retake the project. So I won't be working on it any time soon.

Check out the mod I've put out. It's a much-reduced version of my original concept.

Thanks for the suggestion and the support @Sword_Of_Geddon . Until GS I thought the Enlightenment Era would be pretty much empty of content. Now I am not so sure. When I will retake the mod again I will consider its addition.
