Civ 6 has quite a nice list of colonial policies:

  • Colonization (Early Empire): +50% Production towards Settlers
  • Native Conquest (Exploration): Combat victories over units from earlier eras provide Gold equal to 50% of the Combat Strength of the defeated unit.
  • Colonial Offices (Exploration): +15% facter growth for cities not on your Capital's original continent.
  • Colonial Taves (Colonialism): +25% Gold in cities not on your original Capital's continent.
And for flavor:
  • Press Gangs (Colonialism): 100% Production toward Renaissance and Industrial era naval units
  • Raj (Colonialism): +2 Science, Culture, Faith, and Gold from each city-state your are Suzerain of.

These combined with Englands bonuses (cities in new continents get a free unit, Royal Navy dockyards produce extra gold in new continents) or Spain's (trade routes betweem continents give bonus yields, Unique improvement stronger when on different continent) could make strong and fun strategies.

Also might be good for a city-spamming multiplayer game.

Its worth noting that other continent is a pretty easy bonus to get. Continental boundaries do not require a water barrier. A large enough landmass can be split by a continental boundary and it does happen pretty often.

That said make sure to remember district area effect bonuses. The industry (production) and entertainment (amenities) districts affect all your cities within 6 tiles of the district.

England also get the redcoat which gets a bonus then fighting on foreign continents.

If you play on water heavy maps you should get the ability to travel oversea pretty quickly, overall good science will help the imperialist because native conquest depend on having good tech.

Only (some of) their buildings do. It doesn't affect the base adjacency bonus of the district but yes, planting isolated cities is probably not the best strategy. Groups of 3-4 cities on different continents might be fun thought, but will likely piss every other leader a lot.
Looks like Native Conquest will be a particularly strong policy in view of the AIs' failure to update units.
yeah, but then killing a warrior is only 10:c5gold: so not sure it's all that strong probably depends on how many warriors they have :badcomp:
