Colonialist Legacies: Histories of the New World | Colonial + Pre-Colonial civs

Option 2. I like both honestly but option 1 is a little close to Indonesia whereas 2 seems a bit more original to me at least.

1 is also a bit close to Indonesia

It's a spoiled version of Indonesia, which doesn't have a very good colour scheme itself.

I'm sorry, am I missing something, or am I colourblind, because they seem to differentiate pretty well for me.

If you think it's too similar, plzdon'tsueme.

As I said to TPangolin earlier, colour schemes aren't about comparisons between each other, but about how do they work by themselves, stand-alone. Option 1 is toothpaste / lollipop, option 2 is more real-worldly. But the decision is yours.

TPangolin might not agree on this assertion. This project has already employed a number of unorthodox and vivid schemes. These schemes evoke character and are unique amongst custom civs - lending themselves to recognisability, and overall they represent the unique way in which the project is being developed. Option 1 is perfectly in-sync with TPangolin's presentation, so I prefer this one.

I like the fact that someone wants Option 2 due to Zimbabwe and someone wants Option 1 due to Sri Lanka.

It's really up to TPangolin, IMO. Personally, I was disappointed when I first loaded up Option 2 in game because I thought it'd come out as some dark shade of red instead of lightish brown.

Option 1 reminds me of Jade which has a place in Vietnamese (and generally Asian) culture. Option 2 is generic but good looking colour combination. I think that this colour scheme is better for some less developed civilization. Like something from Africa or Pre-Columiban America.

To be honest Vietnam has stupid national colours  Especially modern Vietnam - red and yellow and a star... Creative as hell... :p

Original TPangolin's ideas: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=13111563&postcount=654

second one looks too Songhai, thid and fourth are IMHO weird.

The only colours which truly fit Vietnam are either those damn socialist colours or brown/orange :p (right?)
A few Viet flags have been gold/yellow with some blue details in them, that's my reasoning. >_>

Also, I don't see why a Sri Lanka civ would have to be the exact same colors as option #2. Just look at what EUIV uses, for instance (well, not those colors exactly, 'cause Netherlands).

I think 2 is better for VietNam but if black/ yellow is the best.

Btw, here i come with some ideals of Dreamtime beliefs:

- Paradise in Desert : If Petra built on other cities give +2 :c5faith: and +2 :c5happy:. If Petra built at :c5capital: , double bonus from Petra (+2 :c5food: and :c5production: on desert tile, + 8 :c5culture: after discover Archonologist).

- Book of Genesis: All :c5greatperson: increase 15 % rate, reducing cost of next :c5greatperson: 10 %.

- Wind of Liberty: Reducing :c5unhappy: of empire 10 %, 20% :c5happy: will change into :c5production:

- Iron Spirit: All land non-luxury resources that arent built on desert tile + 1 :c5production:

- Statecraft: Each :trade: with :c5citystate: give +1 :c5influence: per turn (can stack).

- Age of Wonder: Every wonder you built give + 1 :c5faith: all cities.

- Holy Land: If you killed enemy inside your territory , give 20% :c5faith: boost on 10 turns to this city.

- Believer: + 1 :c5faith: each 5 citizens on city.

- Smile of wealthy: + 1 extra :c5happy: on each luxury resource you own (note: this resource does not count from trade and you must have at least 1 luxury resource of each type on your own).

P/s: Can i ask you 1 question TPangolin:

Why on released version name changed from Ha Noi to Hanoi ?

I've toned down the green so it's not so Neon :) (used theAnish symbol though).
