Color schemes too similar?

Is anyone else having a problem with this? My first game was a and Japan, and, at a glance, it was hard distinguishing my cities from England's. Now I'm playing Gorgo and I keep mistaking British scouts from my own. Does this happen to any other civilizations? We shouldn't have coloring schemes that similar with only 19 civs!

Yes, there are other colors too close. Played today as Sumeria and kept getting confused as Egypt was my neighbor.

I played as France and had Pericles Greece as my neighbor. When he DOW'ed me I could hardly tell our units apart. It made combat and unit placement really difficult

Seriously, guys? Well, I'm sure there will be helpful modders around to help you with your ... problems.

I had the same problem with England and Greece. Both got some red brownish color, and it was hard to say witch unit belongs to whom when they had a huge war against each other.

Religious Units
I have a problem with the Religious Units when it switches in colors. When activating a religious unit, the map changes to show theological influence. That part is great. But the color chosen is this pale beige (almost white) color. Unit movement still uses the white circle (the standard color for all units) which mostly blends into the theological influence map. It would be nice if the religious units used a dark color to show movement (maybe they could use a black circle) against the pale background.

Seriously. I mean, we have 19 civs, do we need more than one of them to be brown and white (or brown and very light blue)? Do we need borders with the same colors but inverted positions

Kongo and Scythia look too similar to me.

Is "publishing a game with flaws and let modders fix it" a new trend?

No, the idea here is publishing a game with flaws because they couldn't afford complete testing and then using the players who you lured in promising a completed game as guinea pigs to go through the game finding problems so they can report these to the devs who can maybe eventually get around to fixing the problems.

I found a continent with Russia, Arabia, and Kongo. At first glimpse I though one empire swallowed the others :)

Invading Arabia was a nightmare, not because they were tough but because they had open borders with Russia and their units looked almost identical.

Britain and Greece (Gorgo) are way too similar. In my opinion, Gorgo should use the same color as Pericles unless they've been selected to be in the same game. Kongo and Scythia are also much too similar. Russia and Arabia are somewhat different but similar enough to be annoying/ugly. Also I'm very glad they've changed Egypt's colors from what was shown in the first look videos, else they would have been exactly that same as Rome.
