color temperature on lcd

On my lcd there's a color temperature setting which you can keep at the default or make it "warm" or "cool." I know that "warm" gives you more red color and "cool" gives you more blue color, but does the "cool" setting also generate less heat than the "warm" setting?

No, it's colour settings.

it was a no, the color-settings warm/cool just refer to the color, whether they should appear cooler or warmer
 
You're supposed to set it to which ever one gives a "better" white; i.e. you're supposed to hold a piece of paper in sunlight next to the screen, and compare the white on the screen to the white on the paper and set the colour temp accordingly.
