the description of the colosus says that it gives +1 gold form every "water tile" but it does not give additional gold for lake tiles. If this is on purpose, than the description of colosus should say +1 gold from every "ocean tile."
in my opinion, lakes should get the gold bonus. they are very useless tiles and have no way to improve them unless you are playing as the aztecs.
