I have no problem with some flexibility. I do not feel a sword has to beat every spear or archer. These are close to tossups. It is where there is a large differentcial that I care.
I do not want to see a Calv attack any archers and lose. If no special bonus and all have 4 HP's. I do not mind if the archer attacks the calv and wins, that is a 2 Vs 3. Those are suppose to vary. 6 VS 1 is another thing altogether.
Also when you are in a tough game at a high level you do not send an archer with 4 HP's to kill a 4 HP Calv, you bombard it down to 1 or 2 HP's. Now we have a different set of circumstances.
I see some battles as not being able to be turn with HP's. The galley Vs BB is one such battle. Even at 1 HP, the galley should lose.
henry k c's archer attacking an archer is never going to bother me, that is close call. The army of Riders is a crazy RNG hoax. The power of Armies and the Rider is way to strong for that to be legit. No I am not saying it is a cheat, it is a flaw. It could have been adress with FP (fire power).
They were testing a fix, but backed it off before the 1.22f came out and never of course went back. They intended to have those obsolete units win battles, but have since learned it was not accepted. It will not be in Civ4, thank you for that.
