What does the computer use to calculate combat odds? (the displayed odds, rather than who wins) Strength and 1st strikes or iPower or iAssets or what? I just realized that I havent been changing the iPower or iAssets in my mod and that might cause some problems, especially if you think you have a 99% chance to win and you really are evenly matched or something.

I also noticed just barely that your odds also go above 100%... is this intentional? I had a 143.3% chance of winning once. Needless to say, I won.

here is a good thread/post about combat caclulations. Maybe you find an answer there.

Thanks for that post...all it proved that I shoulndn't get what I got...

Chance of succeeding in each round is a pure die roll. This means that for the attacker, his chance of winning a round is A/(A+D). For the defender it is the dual D/(A+D).

It should be impossible to get anything equal to or higher than 100% combat odds even if the attacker is Combat 100 and defender combat 1, that= 100/101= 99% chance for the attacker. Even 1000 vs 1 = 99.9% chance!

If anyone else comes across this bug, tell me... maybe I have somthing at a negative that shouldn't be or something

the game doesn't handle first strikes very well. Try giving both units (several) first strikes in the WorldBuilder and you'll see some strange combat odds.
