I have the installation files on my hard drive (or so my dad says), so I will build a city tonight or Saturday (busy all day tomorrow, school, hang out w/ friends, dance).

Faster subways are always good. I shoulda put in a rail system and a highways and stuff--my coolest city in sim city 2000 was built ground up with a perfect road, rail, and highway grid (no subways but its cool). However, it didn't fit with my theme.

Perfection I would like to thank you for your time in creating 42 equal islands. I looked closer at the map and realized it woulda took a lot of time to create. This is also a great idea too. The land plots are the perfect size, and I keep coming up with these great ideas of how to make cool islands. I'll just make sure everyone's had a turn before I ask for seconds

Actually it's forty nine, (7x7) islands

It was very simple to design (I wanted at leas 3 tiles seperation and I used my handy TI89 to find the largest island size), the pain was actually building the damn islands, and something new is in the works I have to figure out a couple of things be the result will be pretty interesting. And if you want to do more sim citty just check out my downloads thread, you can upload your stuff too, and show off your creativity.

I don't think I'll allow seconds in this one, sorry if that upsets you

I'm looking forward to whatever new sim city 2000 thing you havge up your sleeve.

And when my brother and I finish the city we are working on together, I'll upload it (its built for aesthetics but is intended to be made without cheating or "African Swallow" which is a hard line to balance).

Jut for the record, the only cheating I have ever done is in this city, and a couple other similar ones

But, you don't use African swallow, I use it frequently when I want to develop a city fast, it ruduces the creation time from a week to a couple days

usually I do but sometimes if I want to try to develope the coolest city possible I don't as I want to keep the date down.

That's true, I usually don't care that much about the date and spend a lot of time going over insignificant detials, well, why don't you post some in the Officical simCity 2000 download thread

Also the more firestations, hospitals, and police stations connected by road, the better

we could use some seaports... heres the deal with seaports: you need to take a large chunk out of your island to allow for the docks to be built as the water ways are too small. If their are no docks then the seaport is useless.
