That's odd, industrial demand should be high all the time, the city is exteremly unbalanced with way too much commercial and residential zoning. If you run the simulator awhile all the commercial zones will abandon. The only thing keeping the residential and commercial zones from looking like the Flint scenario is my underhanded methods of temporarily bolstering the demand.

Ok, I'm not 100% sure, but I could only remember demand for Residental Zones (and now you say there's too much!?). Well it's easy to check (but I'm at work now so I can't).

Doesn't the demand for industrial zones go down a bit when the city increase in size?

BTW are you talking about the RCI indicator? Even if there's high demand for a zone type I think it can become abandoned in places too far from the other zone types.
 
:lol: I downloaded it changed it back and it worked.

Normally a zip file is made by file compression software like "winzip" and then uncompressed. You just changed the extension and not any of the data so when I tried to uncompress it it got all confused and gave me an error message!
 
I came across a link to this, being a big sc2000 fan i have had a go at making an island...

Daftpanzer Hope Island, where the museum of Great Justice is now open. Many exiting and interesting displays from the famous interstellar war of 2101, including a fully restored ZIG space fighter :lol:

Nothing special on my island really. Only got one dirty 3x3 industrial building to grow. Nobody wants to build pretty scyscrapers on it:(

As for the interstellar war, I remember that.

I was a commander of task force 15! Our Task Force took out more enemies than any other task force!

I would be partial to being allowed to edit my island and then giving permission to anyone interested in building/editting their island to connect via subway. Having a subway/rail system would be very cool.

What say you, Perfection?
 
Can I join too? Okay, good, here's my island. It's about as symmetrical as it gets. :D The amount of zones is very balanced and there are many nice forests too!

Well, there is allready an extensive subway system, and you're hooked up to it.

Though If one wants to edit thiers, it's fine with me

It's been experiencing some pretty fast growth, we have a population of 165439 and have made 19 islands!

Who does the unnamed island north of yours belong to?
 
JudgeDeadd, I wonder why the sign didn't show up, I just checked the city and it is there.

Odd.


Edit: On closer inspection I've revealed the mystery

The reason you don't see it is because if you look really closely at the side of shadodude's space port facing the unnamed island you'll see the helicopter. It's flying over the area normmally obstructed by the sign. When that happens the sign disappears
