Hi fellow civers,
The mod in this post will help you and your team to better locate and communicate your positions. This is especially important in team games. You will find in this post a mod of the mini map that appears at the bottom left of your screen during your game. This mini map mod has a grid over it and displays letters (A to E) on the left and right side, and numbers from 1-9 on the top and bottom part of the mini map. After you have it installed, you can, for example, tell your teamate that you are located at E8 instead of simply southeast and he'll find you in no time.

Please note that the following instruction is only for Civilization 3 Conquests Expansion pack players. Download the file located at the bottom of your desired picture shown below into the C: drive, in the folder, program files\infrogame interactive\civilization 3\art\interface. NOTE, THIS "ART" FOLDER SHOULD BE IN THE CIV 3 FOLDER, NOT THE ONE IN THE CONQUEST FOLDER!!!!
Installation instructions:
After downloading it,
-rename the file included in this email, and take out the "(Rock`s v2.0)" or "(Rock`s v2.0bw)", etc. part from your downloaded file so your DOWNLOADED FILE INCLUDED IN THIS POSTING SHOULD NOW BE EXACTLY: "box left color.pcx".
-restart the civ game for the your new mod to show up in your game.
