Community Patch - How To Install

Hi,

I´ve the Problem that CIV 5 crashes during the second turn.
I use CBP Comp, CBP, CP, CSD and CivIV Dipl Feature, the EUI and the Really Advanced Setup from General TSO.
Everything starts fine, but during the start of the second turn it crashes back to Windows.

You said the datalogfile would help for Analysis is this the database.txt?

Thanks for your help!!

Database.log looks fine – you have logging enabled, yes?

Link your lua.log as well. Also, I assume you have More Luxuries installed as well, yes?

Yes, use the more luxuries too. To be honest don't know if I enabled logging. how can I check that. And will add the lua log later. I've seen that the IGE should also work but if activated the game would crash immediately after the set up and start click. Also cleared the cache and started a new but during the loading I saw some transfering problems restarted and then could activate the mods. maybe not everything loaded? But would it be possible to activate the mods if not sufficiently loaded.

Thanks for your help and the mods look awesome

Enable logging:

Also, make sure to post follow ups in the bug reports thread, not here. :)

Random question about Enable Logging, can that be something that can be activated Mid-Game? And is there any downside to having Logging enabled? (more space, uses more ram, etc...?)

New version uploaded.

Affects:

  • CP
  • CBP
  • EUI
  • EUI-CBP Compatibility
  • No-EUI CBP Compatibility

Yes, you can - it generates .txt files, which are KBs in size.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I'm new here so please forgive me.

I can start a game with the mods but I can't load the game it crashes to desktop, no error message, I use Windows 7, latest verison of Civ 5, all DLC except map packs.

Here are some print screens of what I've installed. Could somebody help?

Thanks for reading, and replying.:king:

EDIT: Added crash files and log, the database one looks interesting and so does the xml but I'm not entirely sure what I've done wrong and how I can fix it. Also an interesting pause screen, note no load game option.

Did you clear your cache? Also, are you positive you are running the latest version of civ? Try verifying the game cache and see if that helps.

 :worship: :hatsoff: seems to be working, thank you fine sir. I shall be sure to sig that if I can work out how to get a signature on this forum.

And it seems to have stopped working again - game crashed to desktop on T11 cannot load a game with the mods enabled regardless of turn number.

Provided screenshots of what I've downloaded + logs, no new dump was created so I assume, it's the same problem as before ...

Thanks again for reading.

You've got a bad error - the custommodoptions table isn't loading for some reason. The file is absolutely essential. Try re-downloading the mods and clearing the cache again, as it looks like a bad install.

I took your advice to re download everything. So I decided to test each mod, as I downloaded them, and I didn't get very far. The CBP caused the issue previously discussed. I'm using the evaluation version of the latest version of WinZip to unpack the files. My version of Civ is 1.0.3.279. My version of DirectX is 11. Yes I've verified my cache. Do I need to download something else to help read the .dll file. I have a laptop and the graphics card is a NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 630M, but when I use dxdiag it picks up the Intel® HD Graphics 4000.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll be happy to provide any other data about my machine. Didn't bother adding the logs, same as before.

DLC Owned:
Mongolia
Babylon
New World
Spain + Inca
G & K
BNW
Polynesia
Denmark
Korea

I have just realised I don't own the Wonders of the Anicent World DLC, is that an issue?

That shouldn't be an issue, though references to those mods in the CBP will give off an error. Still, it shouldn't be causing a hard crash like that. Using windows 7? 8?

If it is defaulting to integrated graphics, you may have to force it to use your discrete card in the Nvidia control panel.

Simply delete the leader balance folder in CBP.

I don't have all the leader DLC, just the base game & expansions, are none of these downloads compatible for me? Is there any way I can edit some files so they're usable?

Cheers
