Hi, I don't usually hangout in the forums I just play the game but Its been crashing all the time lately so I decided to look around here again to see if I can figure out what might be wrong. I came across these threads.

https://forums.civfanatics.com/forums/civ5-general-discussions.375/

https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/give-me-5-reasons-you-are-playing-civ5-and-not-civ4.612901/

https://forums.civfanatics.com/forums/community-patch-project.497/

https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/dlc-modpack-and-43-civ-version-repository.609278/

I have been suspicious that my crash problems might be related to some of the mods I use. So looking at these threads give me some questions.

first some acronym definitions would help.
CPP
EUI
CP

Next: if I was to install the community patch would It be necessary to uninstall the mods I use now?
Trying to follow all of the instructions has me totally confused. Is there one single thing to download and install?

Kind of looks like there are many steps and additional things to add and install. Maybe those are just for additional add on mods after the community patch?

EUI = Enhanced User Interface -> This is not something created here, but since it is a famous mod, be you can find here a version compatible with things devellopped here.
CPP = Community Patch Project -> The name of this mod-develloppement project. Mod develloped here are CP, CBO (previously named CBP), CSD, C4D, More Luxury, and VP.
CP = Community Parch -> The base of everything else
VP = Vox Populi -> The mod you want to use. Include CP, CBO, CSD, C4D, More Luxury and a compatibility with EUI.

To install : https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/community-patch-how-to-install.528034/
There is an auto-installer, so you just need to follow the steps.

Most "big" mods are not compatible with those mods, most "little" mods are.

In addition to the above:
If you're looking for crash fixes, CPP won't help you probably (others might correct me), if you're lokking for an awesome mod, CPP will help you.
I recommend also, for the beginning, not to throw in any other mods until you are a bit familiar with the changes (assuming you play "Full" Vox Populi).
The Community Patch (CP) itself includes only the AI improvements and patches, but no game changes.

Yeah, it is very simple. As Moi Magnus says, just run the linked autoinstaller and it will do everything for you, you do not have to do anything.

You are mentioning other mods, but do not say which ones. Grabbl is right, try Vox Populi without other mods first. Other mods may be incompatible or create disbalances. If you insist on using some minor mods/utilities, then you can refer to the list of (in)compatible mods in this thread:

Thank you for your help. The new MSI laptop is toast and going back to Amazon or the RMA distributer. I still have my MAC. Can I use the Community Patch with a MAC?
