Compatibility of the DE with "Vanilla" CIV V for multiplayer?

Anyone knows if the devs have stated that the Deluxe Edition of CIV V will be compatible in multiplayer games?

I'm buying the D.E through STEAM, but my friends will probably buy the "vanilla" (if such could be said) CIV V. Would I still be able to choose the Babylonians in multiplayer with them or would it cause the dreaded "out of sync" error or such?

My questions boils down to : "Will we be able to play LAN games as always?"

I don't see any reason to believe it wouldn't work. You might not be able to use Babylon in those MP games, but other than that there has been no indication whatsoever that they won't be compatible.

the honest answer is, nobody really knows the answer because no details have been made public til now. Of course it´s seem very unlikely that you can´t play multiplayer with vanilla against someone who owns the DE, but if:

• someone who owns the DE can play as babylon (because eg all - also the vanilla buyers - have the necessary files) even if a vanilla player participates
• or none can play as babylon if at least one player has the vanilla version

hasn´t afaik released so far.
