Compatibility problem ZOOM Text 8.1

My first experience was with Civilization. Over the years I have lost much of my vision. When the Department of Veteran's Affairs trained me for my vision loss from the Vietnam war chemicals use, I was issued a computer with Zoom Text 8.1 to enlarge what is on the screen to a point where I can see it usably. One of the first things I did was buy Civ III as of course Civ basic doesn't seem to be in stores now and who knows if I will ever find my original disks. That is background for my problem

When starting Civ III everything comes up, the movie sequence plays, and then my computer reboots. I found that Zoom Text is creating some kind of interference. By turning off Zoom Text, I can play the game and enjoy it; however I can not see details or read the information to truly enjoy all of the game.

I was hoping to find out how to inform the technical programming people to address this situation as I am sure there will be many more people with vision impairment that would still like to fully enjoy this game.

You communication is fine, just fine. No worries there.

Have you tried starting Zoom Text 8.1 after starting Civ3?

Also, have you tried the Windows Magnifier? That might work, too.

Worst comes to worst, by a bigger monitor and use the standard resolution. That would make it pretty big, I think. I don't know how feasible that would be....
