Hello,
firstly sorry for my English)

Computer restarts while playing (1280x960; all settings max; aa disabled, shadows medium, fog medium).
error at blue screen: (0X00000019 0x00000020 (089275b88; 89275c20; 0a130014))
Windows XP Sp3 32bit
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo CPU E8500 @ 3.16 Ghz
Motherboard: ASUSTek Computer INC. P5Q-PRO
Video: Ati Radeon HD4850 512 mb
Ram: 4 gb (3,25 - real, because of 32bit xp)
Power: 550w

There's no such problem in any others game.
I tried to reinstall video driver; set bios to default; use smaller map; test cpu\gpu by program OCCT (didn't show any errors).

Have you any ideas how to fix that?

Welcome to CFC :).

Does this happen in every game? After a certain amount of time/rounds?
How are your graphics settings? You might want to turn them down (for testing).

Hi!
No, other new games works good, this problem just in civ 5.
I've tried
1) 1280x960; all settings high, just: aa disabled, shadows medium, fog medium.
huge map, 13 civs. Restarts after 60-70 turns (30-40 minutes)
Then i've reinstalled video-drivers; again play - and pc shut down after 200-300 turns (the same game) (two hours)
2) 1152x864; all settings high and aa disabled; shadows, leaders, terrain, fog - medium
standart map, 7 civs. Restarts after 200-250 turns. (an hour)
3) The same problem was in demo-version (50-60 turn; but after reboot, whithout changing graphic settings - 150-200 turns (artmoney) with no problem).

An hour ago..: (2)1152x864...)

I'll try with low settings, then post about results.

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL...that puzzles me. It's a problem with the memory, which could either be a RAM or harddrive problem.

Does really everything else work? Can you maybe run a test with memtest (at least a half hour) to see if your RAM is completely functional?

i get something similar. my computer goes to standby power mode after about 5 mins. the game is still running, but i have to repower up my computer. i have Win7-64bit Ultimate, and 4GB of Ram and a 1024MB ATI radeon graphics card.

i have re-installed the game twice, same problem. the screen goes black, and i have to hit the power button to re-enable windows.

With low settings the same troubles.
About ram - as i wrote, i've tested OCCT (memory\cpu\gpu) ~ 20-30 minutes every of tests. All ok - temperature; voltage; usage of cpu and ram.
I dont think that the problem is in hardware - other games real works.
I installed windows 7 instead xp, will try dx11 today after work. It's the last hope ((
