Configuring Game Data Please Wait, then crashes

After the latest Civ5 update, when I try to start my modded game I get the message 'Configuring Game Data Please Wait', then after about 20-30 seconds the game crashes.
Has anyone else having this problem?

Report this in the Bug Reports sub-forum. To answer your question, no. I haven't try playing my modded games yet cause of what happened to my Inca game but I'll give it a try after I get back from work.

I have been playing modded games and have had no difficulty at all- I get the message but it works smoothly.

This doesn't help you, but it doesn't seem to be a constant problem (going on a data sample of two that is )

How many mods do you have that it requires to load in? The first try I had, it tried to load in too many mods at once, after deleting some of the ones that I dont use anymore from my game directory it ran smoothly again.

Do you have the DLL - Various Mod Components mod? This happened to me yesterday, and this mod was the culprit. I think its not compatible with the steam update. I disabled it and then it worked fine.

I'm using DLL - Various Mod Components.
I disabled it and it got past the 'Mods/Next' point (which is where it crashed before) but now it crashes at the 'Load' point.

The save require the mod, and can't be loaded without it, you'll have to wait for an update of the mod to continue that game.
