Conquest 05: Results and Congratulations

It was back to fast dominations taking out the top places this month, which, given the map is hardly surprising! Maybe the map maker needs to do better

Again, it was close at the top, and again there were a lot of entries breaking the 10,000 point mark - 53 in total!

Relative newcomer Florian K features for the first time on the medal / award table, and what a way to start - a gold medal with a fast domination. Darkness was only around 200 points behind in the silver medal position, and Bradleyfeanor got third and the fastest domination award, with a BC finish, and was only 11 points behind Darkness!

Well done all, I'd probably have made it 54 with 10k+ if I'd just taken an extra Celtic city instead of razing it in my 100K quest (that failed ).

I don't see any way to get to the QSC results from the main GOTM page. The QSC timelines aren't links.

Also, the COTM5 results say COTM04 Mayans on the main page.

Quite right. I actually want to revamp the gotm page template and do the job properly with a game menu, and buttons to take you straight to the relevant results. And using real CSS for layout instead of clunky tables. It's on my todo list, I just need to get one of those round tuits

Meanwhile I'll add a QSC results link as a short term measure.

That is the way things work here . But he got an award and silver medal .
I was wondering if it would make sense to create special transitional record awards. Like the fastest space victory ever or the biggest cow ever (golden cow).
What ppl think about it?

The Jason score is based on your base firaxis score, rather than your "complete" firaxis score.

BradleyFeanor's higher "Firaxis" score reflects a better quick finish bonus, but his "base" firaxis score is probably a little behind the others, so his milking bonus in "jason" scoring was less.

Wow, I nabbed my first medal! I thought I had missed it. A lot of it was luck though: when I decided to go for the Ancient Age Challenge I thought it was going to be very difficult and lead to a lower score, but it actually turned out to be the path to the quickest victory!

Did anyone other than Ronald and Sir Pleb stick with the AAC?

To Orlen: Darkness and Florian had more population and territory than me for more turns. My territory went up dramatically in the last few turns of the game.

Cool idea! Although I fear if we make a Golden Cow we may bring the wrath of God upon Civfanatics everywhere.
