A simple request:

Add a pcx file that is exclusive to each cultural sphere containing 4 era specific capitol tiles.

Comment: I dilsike my Capital to be merely distinguishable from other cities by a little star by its name tag: A capital should be more impressive- look at Washington DC (Capitol Hill, White House, Lincoln Memorial etc, etc, etc) Moskwa (Kremlin, Lenin Mausuleum, aso) or Berlin (Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Chancellory...)

...At least, please make it possible for modders to incorporate additional new ones.... please ?

No, you aren't. But it seems (to me) that way it is a way to straight and also not very mod friendly ;). I would go for more optical feedback ingame. I.e. not only harbors and airports are shown on the map, the FP did too (for player visible only) and wonders should of cource. I would love to see this things on the map, not simply represented by symbols (like actually harbor, airport...) but with nice looking gfx.

I agree with you W.I.N.T.E.R!! For months now I have begged and pleaded, so to speak, with Firaxis to open up the editor flags on Small/Great Wonders so that I could mod in the kinds of things you mention!! For instance, I wanted to have a Senate and Parliament small wonder, dependant on city size, government type and presence of a palace. The effect of this building would be to produce Continenal happiness effects (easy to do) and, at the VERY least, count as a corruption reducing improvement in EVERY city on the continent (an improvement I was thinking of calling Local MP and Senate Representation). This, though, CANNOT be done with the current Editor functions!!!
Better still would be for the small wonders to increase the OCN of the government you're currently in. Thus indirectly reducing corruption. Either way, though, the combination of continental happiness, corruption (and War Weariness) busting and Cultural effects would make holding your capital much more vitally important than it currently is!!!

Yours,
