Conquests features comprehensive survey

I would be very surprised if the Dutch weren't seafaring... :D

Me too, and also for the Portuguese but the first post is about things for sure (or great hints at). And the traits are not, especially since the traits might vary between Conquests civs and scenario civs. I mean Incas could be agricultural and expansionist in the main game and religious in the Meso-American scenario.

I'm quite stunned by that statement...either they're just plain off (gamer.tv), or else a LOT of what we think we know about C3C civs has just been thrown off overboard...

I think they were just hinted subtly at the civs in the game. I can't see any way that the Hittites, Sumerians, Mayans, or Incas wouldn't be in the game, as they were confirmed by Firaxis. The Dutch and Portugese were hinted at by Thundefall as being in the regular game, and Byzantine was listed here.

But I do think that suggests that the writers, or someone who told them, know about our pleas for civs that we want in the game.

PS: Add Assyria

How about the subs with stealth attack so they can attack anything in the stack?

Written already. Stealth attacks work for both Ninjas and subs (at least)

so uh ... whose going to make mod their own cataphract? i would but my lack of awesome computer knowledge will keep me from doing that.

if there is no unit suitable for the Byzantine cataphract in the x-pac, then perhaps i willlearn to master the art of unit making, and make it...

I do hope "Medea" in the Cradle of Civilization civs list is a misspelling of Media?

2.2.1 Enkidu Warrior? I thought these dudes (whose inclusion I'm not intending to forgive  ), were to replace the standard Warrior ... ? With that kind of stats one's got to hope that either they aren't, or that stats have received a general boost in the Cradle of Civilization scenario, and those stats are for that.

I'm beginning to worry they're adding too much stuff to the regular game - I don't want to have to learn a complete new game this side of Civilization IV! Still, the standard-game additions in PTW were really good (witness my avatar!;)), so I'm giving 'em the benefit of the doubt.

Ive heard somewhere(?) that enkidu warrior replaces spearman. Dont know if thats true though.

And what about this Incan unit, 2.1.1. So do they really have this unit in start?

@The Last Conformist- "medea" is used by the greeks as an alternate name for the Persians, historcally they and the persians were differnt, albeit VERY closlly related peoples

awesome, mabey we'll get Llama mounted cavalry :D

if the Incans have Chasqui Scouts, they must be expansionists, and therefore they will have a Chasqui Scout at the beginning of the game? is this prediction correct?
