conquests patch

i bought conquests a long time ago, installed it and the patch and everything worked fine. i knew the patch was working when i lost the ability to zoom in on the city view. however, i have just installed civilization and conquests on a new computer and just installed the the 1.22 patch again. for some reason it doesn't seem like it worked. when i load the game, it says its up to 1.22 but i'm still able to use the city view. that tells me that other fixes and updates may not be working either. just wondering if anyone else has this problem and what you did. the only difference between this computer and my old one is that this one is updated to Windows XP Service Pack 2. not sure if that would make much of a difference though.

It's normal. The city view is only disabled if you play with modified rules, like those scenarios included with the game.
