Conquests requirements ?

Does Conquests require the original Civ 3 game or is it stand alone ?

It expands on the original, vanilla game, so yes, you need the original Civ3.

Neither of the addons will run without C3. Complete and Gold came with C3 and one of the expansions.

Though generally is cheaper to buy civ 3 and conquest separately. (gold doesn't come with conquest and theres no reason to waste your time/money with PTW)

There are reasons to play PTW however. No sub bug and the AI actually builds and uses armies are 2 i can think of offhand.

Sub bug is not much to hang your hat on and armies are very rare in PTW as well. You give up a much improved interface and lots of civs. Not many go back to PTW after C3C.
