Conquests worked fine until the power went out...

A friend and I have been playing C3C for some time now, and we have had no problems (outside of the fact that he can't host).

However, ever since the power was cut off to my computer in midgame, he has been unable to see any of my games in the gamespy lobby, and he has been unable to join any of my games via direct ip.

Any ideas as to what might be causing this, and how I can fix it?

We both tried uninstalling and reinstailling (and yeah, we remembered to patch), but that didn't help...

I figured it out. Somehow my computer got assigned the ip 192.168.0.101

It used to be 192.168.0.100...

That's odd, usually the IP address dosen't change, and if so, why only by 1 number?

I think because he has dial-up?

I heard that your i.p address changes whenever you disconnect/connect.

router, possibly D-Link brand as they often assign IPs in the 192.168.0.1xx range
wireless by chance? if so a neighbor might have been assigned 192.168.0.100 if they got booted back up first
