The pitboss is back up. I saved the game before working on re-establishing the network connection. Not sure why it crashed.
There are 3:40 hours left in this turn, so you have time to finish your turn, Agemo!
Heheh, there is more excitment to running a pitboss server than just the game, I guess.

Just in time before I have to head out for the day 
Agemo, the way the turn cycles at the moment is quite difficult for me. I am CET based. So the turn ends after midnight. Since I should make my move be4 you I should move before I go to work in the morning which I managed to do today but that will not always be possible. If I miss to move in the morning you can count on me moving in the CET evening until 8 o'clock (around 11 a.m west coast). Does that work for you?

Lost my network connection and working to restore it now.
Will load the auto-game save from Agemo's turn, which I think means Agemo has to redo his turn, but there will be some additional time remaining for platfuss and Conquistador to do their turns. I discovered the connection was down about 56 minutes before the turn was to end.
Will post here when things are back up.

Forgot to say that the guy I was talking to couldn't get it to load with the mod and be stable - crashed every time he'd try to get in.

After much thoughts, I have decided to retire. The missed turn due to pitboss crashing couldn't come at a worse time. Now I cannot organize any meaningful resistance.

He has to get the old copy of the Earth24 mod. The only one available on the boards here now is updated to the new patch. So email him your zipped Earth24 mod and he shouldnt have a problem after that.
The new Roman player's name is Steven Stout (sstout1@mailcity.com) and just moved in with his brother and is now having computer issues, setting everything up. He used his brothers comp till now, and asked me to enter his turns for him for the next several days till he can play himself. I am leery of this and wanted to make sure it was OK with everyone for me to do this for him. His brother is a heavy MMORPG player and the comp wont be completely available.
Since the English just started a war, it is kind of a crucial time to have someone do the turns, but I dont feel comfortable doing the turns for him unless everyone agrees, especially IanDC. And truthfully, we were bringing him in on a relatively peaceful, I thought, lol, civ so he could ramp up some. He is an old Civ3 player and Civ4 is new to him, but he is a really sharp guy. Maybe he can come in with a different civ and let JMaltmans friend play the Romans? I dunno.
Since we are having so many problems due to the patch, I am seriously thinking that maybe we should restart with the new patch. I hate to do that since we have put so much time into this game and it is starting to get tighter between England and Persia. But it seems no one can join in due to the patch issues.
What do you folks think? Begin again? Continue? Is there a way around it? Is the saved game compatible with the new patch if I installed it?
Just tossing some ideas out there for discussion.

If there's a 2.08 updated version of the mod then I'd hope we could upgrade successfully, other games I'm in have all upgraded ok although only the 32 player game uses a mod & that's a really minor change to allow for extra players.
I'd hate to give the game up at this point with so much going on.
I don't have a problem with you doing the turns for Rome but it really puts you on the spot, I have to say I don't think I'd like to do it if I were in your shoes.
