As you may know, I did a major overhaul of the AI logic for coop wars in the latest version.

But I haven't received any feedback on how it's performing (or at least I don't remember it). For all I know they aren't functioning at all, or perhaps they're functioning so smoothly no one has thought to comment on it.

Please let me know. :)

I'm still on break for the time being but I will act on any reports upon my return.

Not 100% sure what you mean but, with bribe wars turned off there are very few AI joint war efforts, and these should still be an option when bribes are off.

I'm referring to the wars where two players join in at once against the same target. Have those been occurring normally? I'm worried I screwed something up somewhere. :)

Hmm, I had DOF-AIs ask me to join a war, so this part should work. Since I always use the option to have 10 rounds to prepare the value of my answer might be diminished.

Once the war did not start, the DOF ran out before the timer set.
Another time it worked as planned (DOF still active).

If it happens again, which saves would help you most? Before the offer, after accepting it or else?

PS: Would you please be able to answer my question regarding selling cities in your main thread?

Through two games, I've not had a single instance of another civ asking me to joint-war. All I've had is civs trying to bribe me to war another (I've not acceptable any of them because the trade values are absurdly low atm and they don't actually incentivize going to war).

I think something is definitely up, but I only have a small sample size. Gazebo incorporating the war stuff into the trade deals screen kind of threw me off initially, so I didn't know if any of that applied to your new joint-war stuff because I haven't seen any of it personally.

Okay, what I gather from this is that the code for asking another civ to go to war does function properly - thank goodness for that, it'd be a pain to go through it to try and find the problem.

It seems that a DoF ending might cancel the war. This is a bug if the war was cancelled because the DoF ended normally. If a civ ended it manually it isn't a bug (including through denouncing/war).

Which of these scenarios took place, @XSamatan?

If you see the bug I just described, a save file one turn before the DoF expires would be appreciated (ideally with no mods except for VP).

In @Kim Dong Un's case, I'll take note that bribed wars may be having some effect on coop wars, but I actually think that the problem is that the AI isn't willing enough to start a coop war. Will investigate when I get the chance.

My games have been just like Kim's — a lot of civs offering absurd terms to DOW. In many of these cases I'm not close enough to do damage to the proposed target, so they seem like nuisance DOWs more than anything.

Something else that may be going on is that the AI is trying to "lure" the human into a foolish war. For example, DOWing a neighbor who has a series of DP's. Even in these cases, the AI offers nothing worthwhile.

This area of diplomacy could use some adjustment, because it's essentially only an annoyance.

Yes, the DOF just timed out, neither I nor the AI partner backstabbed.I do not have the save since I thought this behaviour to be WAD.

I do use modmods (nothing which changed diplomacy though) :/
Will be on the lookout for other cases and get back to you how this goes.

Yeah, it's unintended.

I was asked for joint wars many times, but didn't accept it yet

Thank you for the feedback!

The same as AndreyK, I've been avoiding Coop wars even when proposed. Hope you're doing well, Recursive!

Only played 2 games so far, i got asked to do 1 joint war so far. said let's wait 10 turns, and the bot never got back to me, and i can't remember if the DOF wore off. my roommate who was in both those game never got asked. We've both been bribed by bots numerous times to DOW on someone, but the highest offer I've seen is only 6 gpt. They love trying to sneak it in to bigger trade deals which i thought was neat
