If I build one of those before I build a university, would it be different than if I built a university before building one of those? Like, would my science change?

Reason why I'm asking is because Copernicus/Newtown's/SETI all say they double the science output (or something like that) in the city, so if I build a university after building the wonder, it's science boost from the university doesn't double?

Sorry if the question is hard to understand (I'll try again if you guys have complaints).

You get the double effect from the base, I would think. Never tested though. If that is the case the uni will have no effect on the wonder.

If it is a double of the beakers after lib/ujni/lab, then the double would have to occur something like this:

base
50% for lib of base
50% of uni of base
wonder bonus.

So either way make the uni when ever you want.

I think it only doubles the output in total, so it doesn't matter when you add a science building, except earlier gets the boost sooner. If you wanted a super science city, build them all plus a library, university, and research lab. Then make it a metro either with Shakespeare's Theatre or a hospital, and add workers until it's huge you could easily get 300+ beakers per turn. Putting it on a river helps increase the gold that fuels research. That city might also be your 20k special.

the way all these science multiplier builds/wonders work is from the base.

So, if you get 40 gpt, at 100% that would turn into 40 bpt. a lib adds 20. a uni adds 20. each of the wonders adds 40.

The best way to make a super science city in conquests is to have a coastal city and build collosus and a as many AA wonders as you can as early as you can, for the tourist revenue. with all multipliers, I've had cities making 600+ beakers a turn in modern times.
