Correct CD? I've GOT the correct CD!

The game seems to install fine...I insert CD 1 and then CD 2. I am told the installation is complete. But then when I try to play the game, I get the message that the CD-ROM cannot be located.

Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application​

This happens regardless of which CD is in the drive. I checked with support, and the section referenced this issue, but only seemed to assume that happens when trying to play the game with CD 2.

Does anyone have any ideas, keeping in mind that I am not the most computer-savvy person on the planet.

What version of Civ 4 are you trying to install? What is the game patched to? What OS do you have?
