COTM 20 - saves available

Hmm, Feb 1st. Is it going to be the case that you will run G/COTM alternating months now, or is it just due to the holidays?

COTM is always released in the first of the month and due on the first day of the next month.

The only things that have changed are that GOTM 50 has an extended deadline for the holidays, and we now have Civ4 GOTMs, running on the same monthly schedule as COTMs.

Ehm, think before I write. Feb 1st is the normal date for COTM :crazyeye:, it's only the GOTM date that is later than usual. But I guess my question is still valid... when will the next GOTM be due? Will you continue to run as normal?

EDIT: Crosspost with AlanH. :)

... and was answered, I hope. No other changes are envisaged.

Alright, then I know, thanks! :)

I seem to be having a problem downloading the save on my desktop PC. When I click the open class button, it says "Save to desktop" or "Open with..." and then you can open it with anything on your computer. But when I did both of those, the save never came up in the Conquests Saves list. What should I do to download it properly??

The conquests saves list looks only in the conquests saves folder. If you saved the file to your desktop, it isn't in the conquests saves folder. Move it there from the desktop, and it should appear when you click 'load game.'

Did you left click it? That should have downloaded it as a file straight to your desktop.

If it didn't, then it's also possible that your browser is sufficiently brain dead that it renamed our downloaded file to add a .txt extension to its name. Check if this is so, and if necessary edit the file name to delete it and leave it named "cotm_20_conquest.sav". You may need to open Tools/Folder Options, select View, and change the checkbox that says something like "Hide extensions for known file types"

Thanks guys,
I'm used to doing it on an older laptop so I wasn't sure if it was the same.

Feeble Humans :D :D

:king: As you know, we have now achieved our goal :king:

:hatsoff: :hatsoff:

But we still need your assistance for COMT20, an immensely harder endeavour at the impossibly difficult Regent level.

It is obvious that the map designer is envious of our success and wants to prevent us from repeating it.

But we now know that we can make it -with the assistance of a suitable feeble human.
Anyone wishing to support us in the new challenge should post here or PM us or a mod (first come, first served).

We shall be grateful
