COTM 63 First Spoiler - the Ancient Age!

Reading Requirements
  1. You must be able to research a Middle Age technology.

Posting Restrictions
  • Please be discreet about AI locations; however, feel free to discuss contacts and trades.
  • No discussions of the middle ages (or later)
  • No screenshots of any middle-age (or later) resources.
  • Absolutely NO discussion of any other currently active 'X'OTM!

So it's a Pangaea setting ... with 80% Ocean, which means there's likely to be several chunks of land, most of it in one piece. (You know, you ARE allowed to play with your C3C editor and see what type of land masses you get.) Also, Galleys cost 40 shields for Predators - there is a reason. So being on an isolated landmass shouldn't be a huge surprise. (As I type this, I'm on an isolated island land mass as well. :) )

Starting location is an issue. Where did you found, and how did you decide? (What factors impacted your decision?) How has your game progressed from there? Contacts (no locations, please), trades and your status vs the AI. Oh, and have those powerful Immortals played a part yet?

So far I've enjoyed war happiness almost continuously with the first war. The immortals have been incredibly efficient. I guess getting MDIs before anyone has pikes will do that....

steve - i did not notice the last earthquake has finally driven California out into the sea... if you keep setting us up like this it might prove useful though  J/K

Racinante - having Immortals, what would you want MDIs to do for you? while i actually believe that you won´t get them with Feud anyway but keep producing Immortals.

Nice try, but California is as it was :) (at least I think so ... ). It is I who have changed location, and am visiting Hawaii for vacation (the place of inspiration for the Polynesia game December of 07). Alas, it is coming to an end; this time tomorrow night my family and I will be flying back home. :(
