In the world of tomorrow!!
Havn't been around for a while; but I don't know if this has been asked yet. I have looked in the world builder and other places. Is there a way to change the civilization unit and boarder colors like in civ III? Also I got a Russian language version (on E-bay:confused: ) as well as an english version. Can someone play the russian version and change the language to english? Just wondering.

Yes you can change the colors of a civilization. I forget the file off the top of my head because i don't use it.

As for the russian version I dono. maybe a trigger in the ini file because by default the game installs with all languages (at least for the unit/civ/ect info files).

I can answer the color question:

You have to open up the file Civ 4\Assets\XML\Civilizations\CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml and edit the tag called <DefaultPlayerColor>.

The list of colors (and the place to add your own new colors) can be found in the Civ 4\Assets\XML\Interface\CIV4ColorVals.xml file.

I tried; but I can't type over the color names or cut and paste. Any Ideas?

Got it figured out. Opened with word pad, cut and paste then save. Worked easy.... Now with the Russian version part.:p
