What is the actual origins of Civ6: GS Medieval Lightcavalry?
A. A type of knight horse.
B. Byzantine light cavalry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byzantine_army_(Komnenian_era)#Koursores

Just found this 'Koursores' and this one appears to sound very similar to Coursers and is also lightcav. and did the Koursores / Coursers also origins of the term Hussars which refers to Early modern Ultralight cavalry of the Hungarian origin which later spun off local variants elsewhere including Continental Americas.

Well in French "course" is a pretty common word that means running against opponent or against time. (and "faire ses courses" = shopping) In the familiar language it even means "chase". So I never asked myself the question since light cavalry are meant to chase the retreaters.

I had this unconscious association as well, even though I don't know French. Does it work in English as well? Because in that case it was probably just part of my passive vocabulary.
