crash to desktop

I have crash to desktop v31 6925BC

Patched via the patches thread? If not please try that. If it is patched please provide also the minidump from the crash (see single player bugs thread for details on how). If you are unable to provide that can you confirm that it is reproducible from the provided save, and detail what you need to do in order to reproduce it (just press end-turn?)

It doesn't crash for me I'm afraid (when I just hit end-turn after loading it anyway). Is there any specific action I have to take from the save to get it to happen? If not can you post your minidump please - that might allow me to diagnose it.

Note - the save you uploaded claims to have been saved by rev 5709 (v31 original) - are you sure you put the patch DLL in the correct place? (or is this save from before you installed the patch?) It should be in the 'assets' folder inside your 'caveman2cosmos' folder in your mods folder.

Is this the same save as previously posted? If so just by pressing end-turn immediately? The minidump does suggest a possible bug, but it will be a lot easier to pin down if I am able to reproduce it myself (end-turn on the previously posted save works fine for me though, so if that IS the recipe I'll have to try to figure it out from just the minidump)

Ok. Annoying that I cannot reproduce it, but I can add some protective code that should prevent the exact crash from occurring, but I suspect there is a deeper underlying condition that I am unable to diagnose from the minidump, so it may or may not solve your problem. I'll post an update to the patch thread later today to try to address it for you.
 
Patch updated with a **possible** fix based on what I learnt from your minidump. Please try the latest patch and let me know what happens (and provide a new minidump if it still crashes please)

I just had a CTD using V31 with the Aug. 7 patch.

I downloaded the patch, replaced the dll file and deleted the cache folder. Started the game and did the recalc. Played a good hour or so and then had a Ranger move into a barbarian worker building a mud path on a goody hut (many many turns ago there was a barb Neanderthal camped there IIRC but no longer) and then CTD'd.

I tried to reproduce it, but don't autosave after every turn and when attempting to get back into the same situation it didn't CTD when I moved the Ranger into the worker/goody hut (there were many different random differences in the in-between turns). In this attempt the Ranger had to attack an animal in the same turn before moving into the worker (didn't in the first attempt). I couldn't wait a turn as the worker appeared to have finished.

Anyway here is the minidump if it helps.
 
Koshling, thanks for the quick answer :) Now I do not have crash to desktop with new CvGameCore.DLL, it is super! But I can now use the version 32?

Yes you can upgrade to V32 just fine.
