Crashes

First let me go ahead and say it: for the time being I am below the system requirements. So that might be the problem but here goes:

After I play the game for a period of time the the music will stop and the game will crash and I'll get the "Civ V has encountered an error and needs to close" after I go to the task manager (I never have to use the task manager I just go to it when the game freezes)

Is this becuase I"m below the system requirements or is it a larger bug.

PS The Pyramids and a social policy do the same thing in my game, did I miss a patch? I thought steam automatically downloaded patches.

I used to be able to play on a below spec. computer, but every patch has made it harder and harder. I can load it now, but there are no fonts. You just have to keep verifying the local content, or try deleting it and starting from scratch. You have to reboot the computer every once in a while if the game has not already done it for you.

So that will stop the crashes? How do you go about doing that?
