The game keeps crashing during the enemy AI's turn. I'm not sure what is causing it.
Just click next turn to reproduce it. The game will crash on Scythia's turn.

Game Version: 1.0.0.26(221715)

Hey, chiming in with a similar issue here. I'm playing as Scythia on a Large Inland Sea map Standard speed. Crash to desktop is reproducible whilst processing AI turns at Turn 357. I've already tried going back 1 turn, several turns, turning down all graphics, doing different things, same thing. Still crashes while processing this turn. I'd like to attach my save file but I cannot for the life of me find that location anywhere, and the google didn't help me either.
EDIT: file manager finally found them at the very end of infinity. Attached is the relevant save

I have a very similar issue - large map, egypt turn 233, AI turns were getting progressively longer until it crashed to desktop mid AI turn (during chinas turn consistantly) - I have looked at the reddit forum on this bug (https://www.reddit.com/r/civ/comments/58m0vj/civ_vi_freezing_and_crashing_every_few_turns/) and have updated my graphics card, tried reloading the auto-save from several turns earlier and declaring war with the chinese (as an attempt to change how the AI is acting during it turn) and it still will crash in the same reproducible way each time.

The save is below

Exact same issue here. Have tried everything I can think of - updating drivers, trying to change what is happening in the game (declaring war, changing production, etc.). Always crashes at the end of the same turn.

Same story. Egpyt, turn 124. Crash during AI turn.

It's very disturbing that this bug occured very often for a lot of people and there is no cure for now... Does all Firaxis team is on vacation or lost in the space?

I am suddenly getting this too. I played my first game on warlord as Rome with no problem, but now playing on king as Aztec (small map, standard speed) and it crashes on turn 390 when doing the AIs. I reloaded, and it did it again, so went back to turn 388, and sure enoughon turn 390 it crashed again.

I had a look though the log files (all 24 of them!) and could not see any obvious errors logged in any of them. Playing on Windows 7, purchased through Steam.

I see the files others have uploaded are getting views. Is that a sign someone is actually looking at the problem?

Same thing, turn 401 Saladin.
Ive even tried going back and trying a save from 5 turns ago, haven't tried 10 turns.
I have finished 2 other games so far successfully.
Tried turning all graphic settings to minimum, turning off sound.
Tried changing what my cities were making, tried different responses to the diplomacy reactions.
Tried changing my Policies.
I will say at first, it was crashing right after i talked to Elizabeth. Now i get a Elizabeth dialog and a Hojo Dialog (maybe because I increased my policies against spying and I caught some of his too)
It will finish the Hojo screen, and then load the main view screen of my cities and crash before I can take any moves.
I've gone through about 15-20 different variations at this point trying to prevent the crash.

Also tried rebooting computer, after I found the memory access error below, no luck.

Also including the crash dump file I did see this in there:

Had to zip submission.pkg to submission.zip hope it helps, has crash log info

I couldn't get any deeper debugging it than this, it but i did find this in the log. hopefully the developers can do more. They have got this crash result from me maybe 15+ times now.

I've been having the same issue starting today. Latest patch, all drivers up to date. At first I thought it was the game I was playing (all 19 civs on a huge map), but even on smaller maps with fewer civs I get the same issue. I have submitted a ticket to 2k, but haven't heard back from them yet.

UPDATE: Weird update. The two games I had played that were crashing were played on online speed. One was a single player game that I put on that speed, the other a hotseat game to test a supposed war connection. Today I just played on standard speed, with no crashes. Is it possible that this crash is related to game speed?

Just had the same issue. Game crashes when I hit next turn. The Turkish banjo seems to stutter and then bam right to desktop.

Epic speed, Inland Sea. Turn 235

Yep, same thing for me. I can't finish a single campaign. The game keeps crashing at some point. First I thought it was the YnAMP mod I was using, but turns out, it is not. It's also happening without any mods whatsoever, even on a clean install, with fresh drivers, DirectX and everything. As of now, the game is unplayable for me. Which is really sad, I've paid good money and had been enjoying it so far... I hope they'll fix this soon.

It's probably not the game speed, since I've already tried using different speeds. But in faster settings, it seemed to come in earlier turns, with crashes at around turn 300 on standard speed and mostly before 100 on online speed. So I guess what ever causes the AI to miscalculate is also progressing faster at higher speeds. Maybe some kind of research they're getting?

Is it on Windows 10 for everyone, or is anyone having this problem on a different OS? Also, is everyone using Nvidia cards?

I won't be uploading a save, since there are plenty already.

I actually haven't seen this question asked yet. I have Windows 10 and Nvidia as well, and am experiencing this.

Same trouble here... one game crash at turn 561... another at turn 608... all games are marathon, 8 civs...

I went back a few turns and made different decisions ... the situation is always the same: I make my movements, AI and barbarians makes movements and when it's going to start my turn, comes the APPCRASH!

I'm looking at forums for whole days ... I tried all suggested reinstallations, tests and cleanings ... nothing worked ... I found players who use windows 7, 8 and 10 with the same problem... all kind of video card... all speeds and leaders...

(sorry for my bad english)

Well, that rules that out. So again we're left with no clue at the mercy of the devs. Hope they'll fix it soon. :/

I figured the crashes might be connected to the crashes when changing policies that others reported. Only in our case, we didn't change policies ourselves, the AI did. They might have chosen a crash-prone policy that also made the game crash for the other players when chosing it themselves. That might also be a reason for why some people with the AI bug were able to continue their campaign when they declared a surprise war on the crash-culprit. That would prevent them from switching policies.
Just a theory.
Even if it is true though, it probably won't help us. Without any modding tools released yet, we can't really experiment with the policies to find the source. I can't, at least, with my rudimentary programming skills.

Same issue - large inland sea map, turn 133. Crashes on China's turn no matter what I do. Really annoying because this was a great game and possibly my first deity victory. Needs to be fixed ASAP! Version 1.0.0.26 (221715)

same issue - huge inland map. epic speed. gorgo. king difficulty. some mods (AI+ is the most relevant, the others are for UI)

turn 156 no matter what earlier autosave i load. always same turn.
opened a ticket with 2K support

Good news, fellas! :D
Today's patch on DX12 fixed the problem for me. Yay! I can continue my campaign! \o/

Can anyone else report how the patched affected the crash?
Since the patch I'm having immediate crashes when capturing a city.
