Oh, right. The zoom-in on the eye in Clinical Immortality. That is rather creepy.

The Citizens' Defense Force, Cloning Vats, Self-Aware Colony, Bulk Matter Transmitter, and Singularity Inductor have their chilling attributes, as well.
I could have sworn it's in SMAC, but after playing it again, I know it isn't, but I remember there being a qoute in a game written by someone wondering if medical advances will eventually let brains be kept alive in tanks, and in the byline it's credited to 'brain 1432 in tank 23' or something like that. Am I thinking about SMAX?

Dream Twister. The first time I saw that, I was repulsed - and it even gave me a nightmare once. *shudder*
Dream Twister is wayyyyy too scary. I mean, when the snake attacked-and killed- the dog was the farthest I've ever gotten without stopping it in horror. I thought the self-aware colony would have a scary element to it, but it doesn't. It's just chilling.
The Neural Amplifier (isn't that what it's called, the one with the guy with no pupils or irises) is pretty chilling, too.
Btw, what does dissent mean? I mean, I've heard of descend, but it seems different.

It means to disagree with someone or a set of rules/ideals.
The Dream Twister is very neat; a lot of the footage in it is Ron Fricke's film Baraka. The buildings filled with skulls are Burmese death camps and the people with the white faces are dancers. It's very creepy...for the creepiest Secret Project video, it's a tossup between it and The Self-Aware Colony.

Yeah, & some clips from that movie were used in some of the secret project videos. If SMAC were to release in 2003, it would probably take clips from Godfrey Reggio's film Naqoyqatsi which has the theme of technology changing our lives & our future & the film contains stock footage that has been altered in freaky ways that would be as freaky as the Dream Twister.
