Crossroads tips?

Anyone know how to spread guilds?
I send my guild guy to a new city but it says I can't spread guild there cuz the city has no gems, clam etc.
I look on the map and I don't see gems or clams anywhere.
How can I spread my trade guilds then?

And my raiders get killed as soon as they are in another civs land even if there is an open borders agreement.

I am trying to answer your questions.
The first one,you can find some small civs on the map.Their technology is poor,but if you build your branches in this civs,they can produce the source you need:clam.
I think you can build the Wallstreet to win the game.Tips:AIs' money cannot been seen in the negociation table.

The second one,think about what's the meaning of raider?They can raid almost anything(improvements,workers,caravan etc.)whatever you have the peace or open border treaty with AIs.Is it cool?But you have to pay it.That's why they cannot attack the city,that's why every civs can attack them,they like 'corsairs'.Everyone hates them except you.
