I was thinking of making a crusaders mod. I was looking around for a crusaders mod, didn't find any. If there is one please tell me. On to my idea. Basically, its a war of religon. This is not for catholics only, for all religons. Its for all eras, but different by era. 2 main things is to put use to having most of the world your religon, and to remove others religon from your cities.
Start, things I would like to have in it:
- Missionaries can remove religon, killing them. Easier if city has your religon already.
- Temples of your religon can make it so having other religons in your city help with production (requires slavery)
- A unit called a Crusader, 7 AT, 60 production, 1 move, requires Theology tech, requires Copper or Iron resourse and Incense luxary, starts with Cover and Medic 1 promotions and of course, a religon.
- Can delcare a crusade on a Holy City (of any religon), forcing all religious allies to go to war with you, causes uprisings in cities with your religon, under enemy control, and when the city is counquered, it becomes a country of its own, with 10 points of relation ship with all contries of its religon/s.
- Apostilic Palace can be used to declare cities not of your its religon a city of infidels, and prevents and one form your religon from trading with them (trade routs only).
- A religious war (religon vs. religon, not having to be a crusade) can allow you to form "allies" with people of the same religon, requires Pacifism for all allies.
- If religious disputes continue for long while, you can declare relocation, and all your cites with other players religon will take percent of you population away, and make Immagrants, belonging to the other play in there capital city, 1 imagrant for every 5 population, (i.e. city of Washington has Judism and Confusion and is 18 size, yet america is just Jewish and England is Confusist, England and America allow for relocation, 9 people leave Washington, and London now has 1 Immagrant).
- Unique religious building (one that requires temples) can give you Holy Units, units that build with Religious promotion (+25% attack vs. other religons)
- If you change religons, and you have built Holy Units, you all Holy Units turn barbarian
- Holy City building makes all temples of your religon create Workers, Settlers and Missionaries 10% faster (shields only)
- Spiritual leaders lose "Double production speed of temples" for +1
