CTIV-4: Blind Leading the Blind

Lurker Comment: I expect you guys to discuss this game once it is ended. I'd like to hear what you thought about it.

Now that we've taken one American City, I think we should take them all.

Here's the save:

Some Administrative Notes:

This is expressly forbidden in the variant rules. As punishment, I built the city somewhere else (I built it where I was planning on building it originally). EDIT: Going back to the beginning, I realized I never actually said this, however, it's the same thing as queueing, so it's forbidden.

:gripe:

Since we've completed an equal number of turns for everyone, I think we should drop to 10 turns now instead of waiting for rifling.

Do we want to continue with 4 players, or should we replace Panth? I'd like to keep it with the original roster, but what do y'all think?

@ReccaSquirrel, yes, there will be a "lessons learned" discussion after the game has concluded.

ROSTER:
mjj55409 -- up
Scowler -- on deck
Snaproll
ChrTh -- just finished

I thought those signs got deleted automatically when the game was closed. I honestly never meant for another player to see it. My apologies - is was just a note to myself.

It's ok, I didn't think it was intentional.

Of course, I can't even figure out how to remove the signs :crazyeye:

There's a delete option with the other editing commands in global view: just select it then click on the sign.

Snaproll is right: the signs used to be deleted automatically after reloading a save (a bug). It was only in the most recent patch that it was corrected, I think.

I say continue with just four players. I think we are now getting used to each other's playing styles and it might be disruptive if we brought in someone new at this stage, bearing in mind the lack of notes. Of course, you could also argue that bringing in "new blood" might be very much in the spirit of the variant...

@snaproll: How do you do those great ground level screen shots - they are terrific.

@ChrTh: Alt S gives you a green square, clicking on the map allows you to add a sign. You need to Alt S again to get out of the sign mode. Clicking on a sign while in sign mode deletes the sign.

I use the flying camera mode. You have to enable it in your config file and then you press Ctrl-Alt-F to enable it. It's GREAT fun!

mjj, please update on status. I'd prefer not to swap the order around by if you don't play by tonight I guess I'll have to take it to keep the game moving.

I'm going to be out of town this weekend. If my turn comes up (which it looks like it might) I won't be able to grab the game until Monday. You can skip, swap, or wait in whatever way works best!

I won't have a chance to play this today, but hopefully I should have some time tomorrow.
