I'm dowloading AOMII as I type... biggest download I ever made, by a long way! Already got the much smaller AOMIII patch. Are there any in-depth reviews of these games floating around, outside of the actual Ages of Man website?
I sincerely agree with everyone who has said it's a shame: why did Activision have to abandon the Call to Power series?
Ages of Man is an extensive CTPII modification, incorporating numerous other mods and fixes.
So far, though, I can't get it working - it doesn't recognise the CTP2 CD-ROM, which is required, so the game won't launch! Can anybody advise me on this?

I have ecnountered the same issue, but the posted link is dead and google couldn't help me either (nor could the official site of the mod or Apolyton).
I already tried to fix this with no-cd-crack and no-cd-patch but no effect. So this post is propably my last hope. I would not mind to never have played original CtP but this mod seems so promising that I just have to try it.
Don't have much hope for help but I keep my fingers crossed.

In the folder of the executable (..\ctp2_program\ctp\) there you have a file called texture.dat, you find this file also on the CD. To make the game pass the CD check both files must be identical. Stan included that file in the mod, so if your CD isn't identical to his CD then you have a problem. To fix this problem just replace the texture.dat in your ctp2 executable by the version on the CD.
