cultural victory target based on Map Size

Hi there,

I have been driving myself bananas trying to find out what the Cultural Victory target is for a small map? I thought it was 40k for 3 cities but I have reached that and didn't win.

For standard maps I know it 50k, but doesn't it change based on Map size??

Or am I dreaming?

It's not map-based at all, only speed based. You need three cities at 25K/50K/75K for the three game speeds, with epic being the high number.

I think its supposed to be 4 cities not 3

It is three cities.

The biggest problem that I have had with a cultural victory is that there isn't any XP points in it. I can win a cultural victory but still get "Dan Quayle" as a rating.

On a small map 50k is still the goal, I think.
